Method

  • Exposition (5 minutes)

    • Verbal one minute explanation of topic/idea

    • Two minute video from each conventional perspective of the issue (if applicable)

  • Analysis (5 minutes)

    • What’s the problem?

    • What does each side think? (objective; unbiased)

    • Why do they think this way?

  • Ideation (15 minutes)

    • Solution proposals and initial brainstorm

      • What’s wrong with each one?

        • How do we fix these issues?

    • How can we combine ideas and goals from various solutions to effect the most positive change?

  • Compromise (10 minutes)

    • Integrate opposing solutions into a compromise that yields maximum satisfaction from the majority of those involved

    • Select one of these solutions

    • Formulate and finalize a (basic and tentative) action plan to solve the issue
